IL CASTELLO DI ATLANTE

It starts in remote September 1974 (it's correct, the band has more than 30!).
Aldo Bergamini (guitar), Massimo Di Lauro (violin), Paolo Ferrarotti (drums) and Dino Fiore (bass) are "founding members", while Roberto Giordano (Keybords) is in the band since 1982.
The band's musical genre is a genuine Italian rock progressive, it couldn't be otherwise since the period of its birth, with clear references to the best progressives bands as Banco, PFM, Genesis, Yes, Jethro Tull and others.
Lyrics strictly in Italian, originate from emotions and experiences of real life, often characterized by allegories and metaphors.
The band has published one vinyl single and six albums till now:

Tirando le somme - Semplice..... Ma non troppo (single 1983)
Sono Io il Signore delle Terre a Nord (cd 1993)
Passo dopo Passo (cd 1994)
L'Ippogrifo (cd 1995)
Come il Seguitare delle Stagioni (cd + vinyl 2000)
Quintessenza (cd 2004).
Concerto Acustico (cd 2006)

Moreover Il Castello di Atlante took part in many international events as:
Prog sud - Marseille in 2006
Baja Prog - Mexicali in 2005
and Kalevala Project realized by Colossus (finnish progressive magazine) and Musea Records which published in 2003 a triple album based on the finnish epic poem exactly named Kalevala, involving 30 bands all over the world.
